The primary responsibility of the Engineer – Mechanical/Plumbing (Refrigeration) is to operate and maintain property refrigeration systems and ice machines. All duties are performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

• Possess a Universal EPA license.
• Repair and maintain property-wide walk‑ins, reach‑ins, and remote refrigeration racks.
• Familiar with operation and repair of Hoshizaki ice machines.
• Exhibit excellent troubleshooting skills including electrical and mechanical systems.
• Replace or convert refrigeration components using proper procedures.
• Conduct reviews and monitor new tenant installations.
• Work closely with government agencies during property compliance inspections.
• Troubleshoot complex maintenance problems and develop creative solutions.
• Research and evaluate new maintenance products and procedures.
• Adhere to safety and attendance policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• 21 years of age.
• Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Driver’s License and any required certifications or licenses.
• Four years of experience in refrigeration maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Personal computer and data entry skills.
• Safe handling of supplies with proper hygiene, cleanliness, and disposal methods.
• Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with guests and team members of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

• Lift or carry 50 pounds unassisted as required.
• Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Maintain composure under pressure and meet internal and external deadlines.
• Interact appropriately with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts.
• Walk, stand, stretch, bend, and kneel for prolonged periods.
• Work in a fast‑paced and busy environment.
• Be exposed to environmental factors such as CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
