Construction Project Manager - Power Delivery
HDR is a nationally ranked force in power construction, delivering projects that impact communities worldwide. We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our growing team in the Southwest.
OverviewAs a Project Manager in our Construction Services Group, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities, planning, coordinating, monitoring, and managing construction‑related support activities for multi‑discipline power design projects.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a key client contact, building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders while developing new Power Construction Services clients.
- Collaborate with marketing for proposal development and opportunity tracking.
- Oversee contract and MSA negotiations, conduct resource recruitment, and provide invoice approval and budget development for multiple projects concurrently.
- Lead large projects involving multiple services and personnel, making decisions on staffing levels, field resources, and coordination of external resources to execute project goals.
- Lead or support business development activities related to Construction Services and maintain annual goals.
- Develop and lead QA/QC processes on a project‑specific basis and maintain project document control.
- Assist or lead projects as a client lead and/or project manager.
- Experience providing construction services support for Power Delivery, Hydro, Generation, and Renewables projects.
- Relevant industry certifications (PMI‑PMP, PE, etc.).
- Ability to interpret construction schedules.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 10 years of related experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of project‑management experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, and project‑management software.
- Strong communication, organizational, and project‑management skills (written and verbal).
- Commitment to being an active participant in HDR’s employee‑owned culture.
Travel will be required.
