Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the Assistant Director - Luxury Transportation Services is to ensure the department meets or exceeds customer expectations, manage vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and training transportation staff, manage contracts, and adhere to all safety and compliance regulations. The Assistant Director will possess exceptional communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills and a strong background in hotel operations and luxury transportation services.
All duties are performed in accordance with The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.
- Oversee transportation department, ensuring all staff perform at high levels and meet customer expectations.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and appropriate use of resources.
- Manage payroll and employee scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage and fair distribution of hours.
- Recommend hires and provide training, coaching, performance feedback, discipline, and scheduling, in support of the company’s diversity commitment.
- Develop and implement transportation policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate vehicle maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance, reduce downtime, and increase efficiency.
- Maintain relationships with transportation vendors and contractors, ensuring they meet company standards.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to improve transportation services and resolve issues.
- Proactively seek opportunities for growth and improvement within the department, staying current with industry trends and best practices.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor all daily transactions and services to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Provide exceptional service to clients, including managing customer complaints and concerns.
- Monitor and manage all schedules and operational expenses to ensure cost effectiveness and maximum productivity.
- Promote guest/client loyalty by building strong and lasting relationships with new and repeat customers.
- Promote teamwork, mutual respect, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure safety is an essential function of the job.
- Consistent and regular attendance is required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
All Team Members at The Venetian Resort are expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times. They must observe the Company’s standards, work requirements, and rules of conduct.
Minimum Qualifications- 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Driver’s License and any other certification or license required by law or policy.
- 5–7 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably in luxury transportation management and/or hotel operations.
- Working knowledge of federal and state regulations governing the transportation industry.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, LMS, and Micros.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
- Experience managing payroll and scheduling for transportation staff.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and other departments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- Capability to give directions, review the work of others, and provide guidance and counsel to achieve department goals and objectives.
- Positive attitude toward work and ability to interact kindly with hotel guests.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with clients and guests with dignity and tact.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with guests and team members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Availability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Lift or carry 20 pounds unassisted in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
- Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
- Interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, and stretch for prolonged periods.
- Work in a fast‑paced and busy environment.
- Work indoors/outdoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as LED lighting, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
