Job Summary:

The Operations Manager plays a critical leadership role in driving the success of regional operations by overseeing safety, sales, project execution, and team performance across multiple sectors, including mining, construction, and industrial services. This position is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, financial accountability, and strategic alignment with company goals. The Operations Manager will lead cross-functional teams, manage resources, and implement best practices to deliver high-quality results across all projects and services.

In addition to core operational oversight, this role demands proven experience in managing complex process maintenance projects, ensuring reliability, and compliance in heavy industrial environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and understanding of mining operations and the unique challenges associated with remote or high-risk work sites.

This role requires a proactive, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to continuous improvement, employee development, and customer satisfaction.

This is a salaried, exempt position based in Las Vegas, NV, with the expectation of work-related travel to Arizona. The role reports directly to the Southwest Regional Director

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Safety

• Promote safety as the company’s top priority.
• Implement and maintain the company safety program in coordination with the Regional Director and Safety Department.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, policies, and standards including MSHA and OSHA Standards and requirements.
• Coordinate pre-construction safety documentation and scheduling.
• Support ongoing safety education for operational teams.

Sales and Marketing

• Collaborate with regional teams and Business Development to drive product and service sales.
• Maintain workload levels to meet revenue, gross profit (GP), and net profit targets.
• Monitor regional sales activities and job profitability.
• Ensure pricing and bids align with company GP parameters.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies in partnership with Business Development and Marketing teams.
• Maintain and develop professional and proactive relationships with current and future clients.

Operations and Management

• Lead process maintenance, industrial construction, and mining operational activities within the region.
• Manage and motivate teams to achieve performance goals.
• Collaborate with estimating teams on bids and quotes.
• Ensure project budgets, tracking, and contracts are in place and adhered to.
• Oversee project cost tracking and audits with project administrators.
• Manage engineering vetting, labor utilization, and operational assets.
• Enhance and manage productivity, efficiency and project deadlines.
• Able to assess and understand project scope, conditions, and potential challenges.
• Able to address quality and safety issues and develop and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, customer service, and productivity.
• Support employee retention and engagement.
• Supervise hiring, training, and performance reviews.
• Coordinate with HR on employee relations and concerns.
• Oversee vehicle and equipment maintenance with asset management.
• Develop and implement annual forecasts and budgets with the Regional Director.
• Achieve or exceed net profit targets.
• Submit capital requests as needed.
