Production Manager
The Production Manager will be responsible for managing the facility during weekend shifts to ensure adherence to safety, quality, maintenance and security standards.
Key Activities- Manage and coordinate the activities of personnel in card manufacturing.
- Manage the daily production schedules and coordinate work activities with the respective shift supervisors.
- Coordinate activities with maintenance technicians to complete required machine maintenance and repair.
- Monitoring productivity rates, standards and quality control.
- Review and address issues related to the quality or functionality of the product as it is being produced and inspected.
- Track and review waste from the production process to ensure efficient material use.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
- Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production.
- Count raw material and work-in-progress for the month-end inventory if needed.
- Enforcing safety, health, environment and quality policies.
- Motivating, supporting and providing guidance to production staff.
- Setting productivity goals for each team and consistently evaluating against goals.
- Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Perform these and other duties as assigned by the Manager or other appropriate management personnel.
- Printing and Finishing industry experience preferred.
- Lean manufacturing methodologies and practice experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Demonstrated skill in the development of leaders, managing multiple teams across shifts in a manufacturing environment, and making process improvements.
