Position Summary

Sofidel America is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Spare Parts Inventory Coordinator to support plant operational and maintenance activities by monitoring and maintaining accurate equipment parts inventory. This role works closely with maintenance, purchasing, accounting, and suppliers to ensure parts availability and accurate recordkeeping.

The ideal candidate will have experience with SAP or other ERP systems and a strong understanding of warehouse and inventory management processes.

Essential Functions
  • Support Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP standards to promote a safe, sanitary, and hygienically sound workplace.
  • Maintain accurate physical and computerized inventory tracking systems.
  • Ensure adequate supply of parts is available to support plant operations.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of all equipment parts.
  • Support purchasing activities for plant-related goods and services in collaboration with technical staff.
  • Apply Group Purchasing Procedures and Policies appropriately.
  • Assist in managing supplier and vendor relationships, including price and terms negotiation.
  • Identify and research machine parts required for maintenance and production.
  • Coordinate with other manufacturing plants regarding parts acquisition and shipment.
  • Prepare parts for shipment to company locations or vendors.
  • Operate and manage SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Support safe work practices and promote Company Principles and Values.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage plant-related purchasing activities in coordination with Group Purchase Management.
  • Collaborate with technical staff on spare parts procurement.
  • Work with Accounting to resolve billing issues.
  • Promote a safety-focused culture and uphold company values.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Assist with operations as required to maintain workflow and meet production schedules.
  • Notify supervision of equipment issues or supply shortages.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1–3 years of related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems required
  • Basic computer proficiency
Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, spare parts inventory tracking, and material receiving
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals)
