Position Summary

FSQA Technician I monitors the production processes to ensure product is within food and safety quality standards.

What you’ll do
  • Monitor current procedures to assure compliance, reporting any findings to QA management.
  • Perform pre-operational, operational and food safety (HACCP) checks and report deficiencies.
  • Support USDA/FDA regulatory inspections as required.
  • Put non-conforming product or unsanitary processing equipment on HOLD status.
  • Perform technical operations such as collecting shelf life samples, water samples and regulatory/USDA samples following prescribed GMPs and sample collection SOP.
  • Clean, maintain, and sanitize all equipment used in the Quality Assurance area according to SOP.
  • Participate in preparation for food safety audits.
  • Perform basic cleaning of the lab including sweeping, dusting, and cleaning counters.
  • Assist in production and packaging where needed to learn and understand the entire process.
  • Perform inspection procedures at frequencies identified in programs, procedures, and specifications.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
About you
  • Associate's degree or equivalent food processing experience preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
  • Collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done.
  • Able to take direction and work independently.
  • Ability to work in a cold environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
