Position Summary
FSQA Technician I monitors the production processes to ensure product is within food and safety quality standards.
What you’ll do- Monitor current procedures to assure compliance, reporting any findings to QA management.
- Perform pre-operational, operational and food safety (HACCP) checks and report deficiencies.
- Support USDA/FDA regulatory inspections as required.
- Put non-conforming product or unsanitary processing equipment on HOLD status.
- Perform technical operations such as collecting shelf life samples, water samples and regulatory/USDA samples following prescribed GMPs and sample collection SOP.
- Clean, maintain, and sanitize all equipment used in the Quality Assurance area according to SOP.
- Participate in preparation for food safety audits.
- Perform basic cleaning of the lab including sweeping, dusting, and cleaning counters.
- Assist in production and packaging where needed to learn and understand the entire process.
- Perform inspection procedures at frequencies identified in programs, procedures, and specifications.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Associate's degree or equivalent food processing experience preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
- Collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done.
- Able to take direction and work independently.
- Ability to work in a cold environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
HACCP Certification.
