Quality Assurance - QA/QC
Thejob incumbent is responsible for the preparation of high quality airline meals in accordance with company standards, menu specifications and production schedules, while meeting required safety, hygiene and quality standard. Knowledge of processes & equipment to be utilized, production operations & quality control procedures
Knowledge of airline specifications helpful
Experience in broiling, batch cooking, sautéing, poaching, baking, fryingand blanching
Ability to use knives, gas range, broiler, oven deep fryer, tilt skillet,slicer & related industrial cooking equipment
Experience with properly logging all necessary information within the kitchen as required by audits / safety
Ability to comprehend & create menu specifications - Ensure compliance with quality standards, FDA, HACCP & other regulations - Ensure quality control to support the team for a smooth & efficient operation - Follow recipes to exact specifications - Responsible for cooking & packing the proper quantity and quality ofmeals according to airline specifications - Prepare quality meals for employee cafeteria - Inventories & maintains proper quality & quantity of food to meet established requirements and daily meal counts - Minimize production disruptions & resolve or report problems,inconsistencies or break downs
