Material Planning Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and driven Material Planning Supervisor to lead the materials planning function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate supply of materials to support production, while driving supplier performance and maintaining high levels of data integrity. The successful candidate will provide strong leadership, foster cross-functional collaboration, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to support overall operational excellence.

What You Will Do:
- Lead, coach, and develop the Materials Planning team to drive performance and accountability
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to support production schedules and operational goals
- Build and maintain strong, professional supplier relationships to support performance and reliability
- Monitor, report, and drive KPIs to ensure process control and continuous improvement
- Identify and mitigate supply risks, including shortages and escalation management
- Ensure material schedules and purchase orders are released accurately and executed effectively
- Maintain high levels of integrity and accuracy across planning data, shortage reporting, and material reviews
- Maximize and continuously improve the use of ERP/MRP systems, including supporting and leading implementation and upgrade initiatives
- Support inventory optimization and achievement of stock level targets
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships with operations, engineering, procurement, and other teams
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean methodologies and workplace organization (5S)
- Develop and maintain skills matrices and training plans to ensure team capability and succession readiness
- Perform additional duties as required to support business objectives
