WELDER

Rebar Machine Service is a family-owned, manufacturing business that has been committed to quality craftsmanship and innovation for 40 years. We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Welder to join our production team. Our ideal candidate has 3-5 years of welding experience and a working knowledge of standard welding tools and techniques.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Interpret drawings and plans to understand project scope and specifications

Produce templates and other work aids Utilize industry tools and equipment, including powered saws, hand shears, chipping knives, portable grinders, hand files and scrapers

Use precision measuring tools to inspect grooves and angles
• Set up components for welding according to specifications(e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
Weld parts in flat, vertical, and/or overhead positions

Conduct tests to check weld quality

Maintain proper equipment; repair when needed REQUIREMENTS:3-5 years of experience as a welder(welding will mostly be 1/16 dual shield MIG)
Read blueprints and drawings; take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures

Must be able to follow directions, work hard, and pay attention to detail

Must have steel-toe boots and welding helmet
