  • Establish schedule logic, dependencies, calendars, constraints, resources, baselines, and work breakdown structures.
  • Track progress against the approved baseline and analyze critical paths, float, variances, resource conflicts, schedule health, and risk.
  • Identify delays and develop recovery plans, acceleration options, and mitigation strategies.
  • Integrate schedules from internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and geographically dispersed stakeholders.
  • Align the IMS with contractual milestones, procurement lead times, customer events, budgets, forecasts, and staffing plans.
  • Prepare dashboards, milestone reports, look-ahead schedules, executive briefings, and customer deliverables.
  • Assess the schedule impact of contract modifications, engineering changes, procurement delays, and performance issues.

  • Lead schedule reviews and communicate risks, priorities, and corrective actions to program leadership, technical teams, subcontractors, and customers.

Microsoft Project Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Expert-level Microsoft Project proficiency, including advanced scheduling, resource loading, baselining, calendars, custom fields and formulas, filters, views, reports, and critical-path analysis.
  • Ability to independently build and manage a complex IMS from contractual and technical requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of schedule logic, precedence relationships, critical path, total and free float, constraints, leads and lags, resource management, and baseline control.
  • Ability to identify broken or missing logic, unrealistic constraints, negative float, resource conflicts, and emerging schedule risks.
  • Skill in producing clear schedule analyses, dashboards, recovery plans, and executive-level presentations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, project management, construction management, operations, or a related field; significant relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Five or more years of experience developing and maintaining complex program or project schedules.
  • Experience coordinating schedules across multiple subcontractors, suppliers, technical teams, and locations.
  • Experience conducting schedule variance, trend, risk, and recovery analyses.
  • Experience supporting defense, federal government, aerospace, engineering, systems integration, or similarly complex programs.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, facilitation, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Microsoft 365.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain any required security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Program scheduling or controls experience supporting major Department of Defense programs.
  • Experience developing government-compliant Integrated Master Schedules.
  • Experience scheduling systems engineering, software development, procurement, integration, testing, shipping, installation, acceptance, and training.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management, DCMA schedule-health practices, DoD acquisition, CDRLs, technical reviews, and configuration management.
