Position

Description

The Production Supervisor - Assembly is responsible for leading daily assembly operations at Applied Medical's Las Vegas facility. This role oversees a team of assembly associates engaged in the production of medical device components through manual assembly processes, assembly cells, fixtures, workstations, presses, and light manufacturing equipment.

The Production Supervisor is accountable for safety, quality, productivity, employee development, and continuous improvement while helping establish the systems, standard work, and operational discipline required to support the site's continued growth and future manufacturing capabilities.

This is a hands-on leadership role that combines people leadership, operational execution, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration in a regulated medical device manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily assembly operations to achieve production, quality, safety, and delivery goals.
  • Supervise and develop production employees through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and labor utilization to support operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, SOPs, and medical device regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase throughput, reduce defects, and improve productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges and support business growth.
  • Establish standardized processes, work instructions, and training programs to build a scalable manufacturing operation.
  • Support the expansion of manufacturing capabilities, including future machining and inspection operations.

  • Drive process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and support organizational objectives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
Shifts Available

First

Shift: 4:00 a.m.

- 12:30 p.m.

2nd Shift: 12:30 p.m - 9:00 p.m.

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven history of leading large teams.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to work in cleanroom and laboratory environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred

The following skills and attributes are preferred

  • Two to three years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing teams in medical device manufacturing or similar regulated industries.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills to address production challenges.
  • Familiarity with Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP) or similar enterprise systems.
