Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Marketing Manager supports United Way of Southern Nevada's marketing efforts by creating and managing high-quality marketing materials, website content, and digital campaigns that advance the organization's mission. This role focuses on maintaining and optimizing UWSN's Word Press website, including content updates, plugin/software integrations, and overall functionality. The Marketing Manager combines technical website support, copywriting and copy-editing skills, and marketing execution to support organizational initiatives, programs, and community engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITION

An individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below:

  • Maintain, update, and optimize UWSN's Word Press website, including content management, plugin/software integrations, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Write, edit, and manage clear, compelling copy for website content, reports, press materials, brochures, presentations, and other marketing materials.
  • Execute marketing strategies and campaigns that support organizational goals, programs, and initiatives.
  • Implement digital marketing retargeting and advertising campaigns to maximize audience engagement and conversion.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and technical partners to support website and digital marketing initiatives.
  • Optimize website content and structure for SEO and user experience, following best practices.
  • Monitor website and campaign performance using analytics to improve engagement, usability, and effectiveness.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering timely and high-quality outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS

These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience, usually considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this job. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines. To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent must have:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Communications, Web Design, or a related field.
  • 3-4+ years of professional marketing experience; nonprofit, fundraising, or mission-driven experience preferred.
  • Proven experience supporting websites using Word Press, including content updates, plugin/software integrations, and basic HTML/CSS for minor customizations.
  • Strong copywriting and copy-editing skills for web, print, and marketing materials.
  • Experience implementing digital marketing retargeting campaigns; social media ad management and vendor coordination preferred.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and website optimization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

The incumbent will have to travel locally via personal vehicle to various UWSN events and meetings, community meetings, etc. The environment for this position when not traveling is in an office that is clean and comfortable. It may include some minor annoyances such as noise, odors, drafts, etc.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

In the course of performing this work, the incumbent:

  • Will spend substantial time standing, sitting, speaking, and listening
  • Will regularly work on a computer and/or related office equipment
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
