The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) announces an examination process to create an eligibility list to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Community Health Nurse I/II in the Sexual Health Clinic in the Federally Qualified Health Center Division. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies in this classification for the Sexual Health Clinic for up to four (4) months.
To perform public/community health nursing services in clinics, homes and in the community; and to provide community and client centered counseling, education and information concerning illnesses.

Education and Training:- Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in nursing or equivalent registered nursing experience.
- One year of general registered nursing experience preferably within the last five years. The one year requirement may be waived when a Bachelor of Science in Nursing has been obtained within the last two years with coursework in Community Health Nursing; and a community health internship has been completed within the last two years.
- Primary Care Experience preferred
- Federally Qualified Health Center Experience preferred
- Urgent Care or Emergency Room experience preferred
- Possession of an appropriate, valid State Registered Nurse license.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid CPR certificate.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid Nevada driver’s license.
Qualifications:
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
