Overview

Spring Valley Hospital (SVH) is a 366‑bed acute care facility located in southwest Las Vegas, part of The Valley Health System (VHS). SVH offers emergency care, advanced cardiovascular and neurological surgeries, women’s health, maternity services, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. It is accredited by The Joint Commission and holds Advanced Certifications for Primary Heart Attack, Thrombectomy‑Capable Stroke, and Hip and Knee Total Joint Replacement.

The hospital also houses a distinguished Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center. ER at Blue Diamond, a freestanding emergency department, provides 24/7 care for all ages and has achieved Advanced Certifications in Acute Stroke Ready and Acute Heart Attack Ready.

Responsible for patient care/service and assigned duties under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

Provide direct patient care, including assessment, monitoring, and support for patients under nursing guidance. Assist with the delivery of treatments, medications, and procedures across various units.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia course or education department test is preferred.
• Technicians working with IVs must have completed an IV course.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Approved crisis management course required.
• Certification in a basic cardiac arrhythmia course preferred.
• Certified phlebotomist preferred.
• IV certification preferred.
