Job Summary and Qualifications
  • You will ensure high quality, patient‑centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department.
  • You will monitor and evaluate the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and hold staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.
  • You will support the achievement of internal/external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations.
  • You will provide leadership in attaining and sustaining an unparalleled patient experience, and instill accountability for providing consistent, positive patient interactions that differentiate the organization as a healthcare leader.
  • You will lead in a way that inspires commitment to the vision/mission/values of the organization and implement evidence‑based employee engagement practices.
  • You will manage operating expenses, including the utilization of supplies and equipment, identify cost reduction opportunities, and implement actions to achieve savings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred (enrollment within 12 months and completion within 3 years required)
  • Master's Degree in Nursing Preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare Required
  • 1+ year of experience in a leadership role Preferred
  • Current license as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Required
  • Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Preferred
  • Nationally recognized certification – within 12 months – new hires/transfers must obtain within specified time frame. Required to work under a credentialed RN until training certification obtained.
  • STABLE certification Required
