Registered Nurse Pre Op Post Op
Durango Outpatient Surgery Center is seeking a Registered Nurse Pre Op Post Op in our fast‑paced Ambulatory Surgery Center committed to providing first‑class surgical services in a safe, comfortable, welcoming environment.
The RN Pre Op Post Op provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. The role includes assisting physicians in procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation and sterile technique as appropriate, and delivering comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia or sedation.
Responsibilities also involve assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients and their families in preparation for discharge.
The regular work schedule consists of variable hours Monday through Friday during daytime business hours. Specific start and end times may vary based on operational needs. Flexibility in scheduling is required to ensure adequate coverage and support for departmental operations.
Position Type: Part‑time – 20 to 29 hours per week.
Hours: Monday‑Friday. No on‑call, no nights, no weekends, and no holiday work.

- Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license to practice in Nevada
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum 2 years of PACU or critical care experience
- Experience in an Ambulatory Surgical Center is preferred
- Current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications accredited by AHA
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of surgical patients
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
- Able to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions
- Excellent teamwork skills and ability to communicate with staff, patients, and physicians
