Responsibilities
Perform physical examinations, collect and document patient data, conduct approved diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and order and interpret laboratory studies.
Prescribe appropriate interventions and medications, and provide direct patient care services in accordance with established evidence‑based clinical practice standards.
Assist in the safe and efficient operational flow of patient care throughout the continuum of care.
Work as an integral member of inter‑professional teams, communicating, planning, and implementing care with physicians, pharmacists, office support staff, and other advanced practice providers.
Take a leading role in clinical aspects of the clinic, including patient rounding, nursing performance improvement, job performance/competency evaluations, staffing, scheduling, and orientation and training of new employees.
Execute leadership in direct and indirect patient care, support of systems, research, education, and professional leadership.
Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsMaster’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school.
Five years of combined education and experience in nursing, with clinical experience preferred.
If less than two years of experience or fewer than 2,000 hours of clinical practice, prescription of Schedule II controlled substances may not occur without an approved protocol.
Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
Comprehensive knowledge of medical procedures, conditions, and the ability to understand, follow, and successfully perform job duties.
Preferred QualificationsBilingual in Spanish, able to understand and communicate with Spanish‑speaking individuals.
Licenses & Certifications- Registered Nurse (RN) – California Board of Registered Nursing.
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) – California Board of Registered Nursing.
- NP Furnisher – California Department of Clinical Affairs (current license to furnish medications).
- DEA Certificate for Schedule II–V controlled substances.
- National Board Certification in the Nurse Practitioner specialty.
- For hospital/acute‑care settings:
Certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP). - Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association (required for hospital/acute‑care and infusion center settings).
- Fire Life Safety Training (Los Angeles City).
Annual base salary range: $95,680.00 – $.
