Chief Nursing Officer
Position:
Chief Nursing Officer – Lead nursing operations and clinical excellence at a high-performing inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Salary: $110,000 - $150,000 per year.

- Lead all nursing operations, quality, safety, staffing, and regulatory compliance across a 79 bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital with average daily census of approximately 50 to 55.
- Serve as a member of the hospital leadership team and report directly to the CEO.
- Partner with medical, clinical, and therapy leadership to drive patient outcomes and a high-performance, team-oriented culture.
- Own nursing policies, clinical programs, accreditation readiness, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Manage staffing models, FTEs, budgets, productivity targets, and workforce planning based on patient acuity.
- Provide leadership oversight for nursing management and ancillary clinical departments including infection control, respiratory, dialysis, wound care, and education.
- Represent nursing leadership on governing, quality, medical executive, and compliance committees.
- Build an inclusive culture focused on accountability, engagement, staff development, and measurable results.
- Active RN license as required by state regulations; BLS required, ACLS preferred.
- Commitment to obtain CRRN certification once eligibility requirements are met.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field unless state regulations require a higher degree.
- Advanced degree or demonstrated leadership competencies aligned with advanced education expectations.
- Five years of inpatient hospital nursing experience.
- Two years of recent nursing leadership experience with 24 hour accountability, staffing and FTE oversight, policy ownership, budget responsibility, and disciplinary authority.
- Ability to support variable scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays as operationally required.
