As a Interventional Radiology Perioperative Nurse, you are responsible for managing the care of patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures that require moderate to complex assessments, interventions, and close nursing vigilance. The Interventional Radiology Perioperative Nurse is responsible for managing the care of the Interventional Radiology patients requiring a surgical procedure that requires moderate to complex assessments, interventions, and levels of nursing vigilance. This is a Per Diem (PRN) position. Applicants should be available to work primarily on Tuesdays and Thursdays, as these are the days coverage is most needed.

• Conducts an individualized patient assessment, prioritizing the data collection based on the patient’s immediate condition or needs within timeframe specified by client facility’s policies, procedures or protocols.
• Conducts ongoing assessments as determined by the neonatal, infant, toddler, preschool, school age, adolescent, adult or elderly patient’s condition and/or the client facility’s policies, procedures or protocols and reprioritizes care accordingly.
• Develops plan of care that is individualized patient reflecting collaboration with other members of the healthcare team.
• Performs appropriate treatments as ordered by physician in an accurate and timely manner.
• Performs therapeutic nursing interventions as established by individualized plan of care for the neonatal, infant, toddler, preschool, school age, adolescent, adult or elderly patient and his/her family.
• Provides individualized patient/family education and discharge planning customized to the neonatal, infant, toddler, preschool, school age, adolescent, adult or elderly patient and his/her family.
• Documents patient assessment findings, physical/psychosocial responses to nursing intervention and progress towards problem resolution.
• Initiates emergency resuscitative measures according to adult & pediatric resuscitation and advanced life support protocols.
• Reports patient condition to appropriate personnel during each shift.
• Performs other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

• A minimum of one year previous PACU and/or Perioperative Nursing experience.
• Nevada State Board of Nursing license.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Conscious sedation certification.
• Ability to do essential job duties.
• Ability to read, understand, speak and follow English instructions. Bilingual preferred.
• Display superior interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and peers.
• Must have complete competency in standard precautions, infection control, aseptic technique.
