Unit Clerk Certified Nurse Assistant; Per Diem Med Surg

Responsibilities

Position is responsible for assisting the planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the activities occurring in the nursing unit by performing clerical and receptionist duties, and performing patient care/service activities/procedures as outlined by the state.

As a nursing unit staff member, you will support unit operations, maintain patient records, provide basic patient care, and coordinate communications among staff, patients, and families.

• High school or equivalent preferred; completion of education/experience required to obtain CNA certification from the Nevada Board of Nursing.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant license in the State of Nevada.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required.
• Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with medical terminology.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age‑appropriate care and service to patients on the assigned unit or department.
