The Nurse Manager Med Surg Telemetry will help lead a modern medical-surgical telemetry service line within a 300-bed acute care hospital designed for high-acuity, rapid-turnover care. The manager supports a unit with centralized cardiac monitoring, smart IV pumps, and an integrated EHR streamlining coordination and documentation. The RN Manager – Med Surg/Tele will oversee teams caring for diverse patient populations, including post-operative, cardiac, and complex medical cases requiring continuous rhythm surveillance.

The Nurse Manager ensures safe staffing, exemplary communication, and a culture of accountability.

The nurse manager typically reports to a Director of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Services or the Chief Nursing Officer, partnering closely with clinical educators, charge nurses, and unit-based councils. This role provides 24/7 leadership for operations, staffing, performance improvement, and compliance with standards of care. The RN Manager – Med Surg/Tele is supported by a friendly team of nurses, hospitalists, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists, representing a diverse, inclusive workforce.

The unit manager will drive quality initiatives, elevate staff engagement, and steward resources while mentoring emerging nurse leaders. The nurse manager also collaborates with ancillary departments to optimize patient flow, safety, and outcomes.
