The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) serves as a key clinical operations leader responsible for supporting the daily delivery of nursing services throughout Nevada. This position provides leadership, clinical oversight, operational support, and direct patient care as needed to ensure continuity of services, exceptional patient outcomes, and regulatory compliance.

The ADON works alongside the Regional Director of Nursing to support clinicians, maintain clinical operations, assist with staffing needs, and respond to changing operational priorities. This is a hands‑on leadership role that requires flexibility, strong clinical judgment, and a willingness to step into both administrative and patient care responsibilities as business needs evolve.

This position provides direct supervision to Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and serves as a clinical resource and operational partner for Senior Case Managers. The ADON functions as a working leader who is expected to assist wherever needed to support patients, clinicians, and the organization.

Travel between Las Vegas and Pahrump is required. Time will generally be split between both markets based upon patient census, staffing demands, and operational priorities.

Provide day‑to‑day leadership, supervision, coaching, mentorship, and support to assigned Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, professionalism, and exceptional patient care through ongoing communication, performance coaching, and clinical guidance. Assist with staff orientation, onboarding, competency development, continuing education, and performance management while serving as an accessible clinical resource for nurses and interdisciplinary team members.

Promote consistent adherence to organizational policies, clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices to ensure safe, compliant, and high‑quality patient care.

Serve as a hands‑on clinical leader by providing direct patient care as operational needs require. Perform skilled nursing visits, supervisory visits, Start of Care (SOC) assessments, reassessments, recertifications, and other clinical visits as assigned to ensure continuity of care. Assist with complex patient situations, clinical escalations, and care coordination while maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation. Support patient care needs during staffing shortages, census fluctuations, employee absences, or periods of increased operational demand and participate in the agency's on‑call rotation as assigned.

Support daily clinical operations by serving as a clinical backup for Senior Case Managers and assisting with patient assignments, care coordination, and continuity of services. Collaborate with Scheduling, Intake, Business Development, Operations, and other interdisciplinary departments to facilitate timely patient admissions, staffing coordination, and efficient service delivery.
