Veterinary Receptionist

South Shores Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

This hybrid role is perfect for someone who enjoys both client interaction and hands‑on patient care. You will split your time between the front desk and assisting the medical team, helping create a seamless and supportive experience for clients, patients, and staff.

• Greet clients and pets warmly and check them in and out for appointments
• Escort clients and patients to exam rooms and ensure they are comfortable
• Gather basic patient history and obtain vital signs
• Assist the veterinarian during exams and appointments
• Support treatments and procedures as directed by the medical team
• Schedule appointments and help manage daily patient flow
• Answer phones, address client questions, and provide general hospital information
• Process payments and maintain accurate medical records
• Contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment

This is a full‑time position with a 4/10 schedule and availability required on Saturdays from 7:30 am–5:30 pm.

• Compensation: $14-16 per hour, for each hour worked*

• Previous veterinary experience is required

South Shores Animal Hospital is an AAHA accredited, 6‑doctor, full‑service small animal hospital located in the Summerlin area of Las Vegas, Nevada. We offer medical care, boarding, and grooming for small animals as well as exotics, and have rehabilitation and reproduction services available. Our hospital is well equipped with digital x‑ray, ultrasound, surgical laser & cold laser, and recently underwent an expansion of our treatment area.
