General Job Description
IES Residential is seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to support our West Coast operations. This role is critical in promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture across multiple job sites. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of OSHA regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both management and field teams.
Location- Home Base: Las Vegas, NV
- Travel Locations:
- Salt Lake City, UT
- Denver, CO
- Phoenix, AZ
- Conduct site safety inspections on active job sites
- Partner with IES Residential management to promote and strengthen a safety-first culture
- Conduct safety training for employees
- Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks
- Investigate workplace injuries and vehicle accidents
- Participate in and support OSHA site inspections
- Communicate safety policies and procedures to management and field employees
Minimum Education:
High School
Minimum Years of
Experience:
4-6 years
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the safety field
- Strong understanding of current OSHA safety regulations and policies
- OSHA 500 Certification required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (read, write, and speak)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Experience in the construction industry
- First Aid/CPR Instructor certification
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Travel required 50%–75% of the time
- Primarily field-based, working on active residential construction job sites
- Frequent travel between multiple states and job locations
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise levels, and construction site hazards
- Collaborative environment working with field personnel, supervisors, and leadership teams
- Ability to walk job sites for extended periods
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb stairs or ladders as needed
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times on job sites
- Visual and hearing ability sufficient to recognize and mitigate safety hazards
