Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Asphalt Quality Manager – P.E to join our dynamic team. This role will involve overseeing the quality of asphalt production, ensuring compliance with national and international standards, and managing a team of quality control technicians. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, specifically within the asphalt industry, and a proven track record of managing quality control operations.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of asphalt production, ensuring quality and compliance with NDOT, ASTM, AASHTO, and other applicable standards.
  • Develop, implement, and manage quality control processes and procedures in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of the quality control team, providing training and guidance as necessary.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of the production process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistency in quality across all operations.
  • Manage the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable testing results.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on quality control activities, findings, and recommendations to senior management.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E) license.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in asphalt production, quality control, and operations.
  • Extensive knowledge of NDOT, ASTM, AASHTO, and other relevant standards.
  • Proven experience managing a quality control team, with strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software.
