The Quality Control Technician
- Computers works primarily in the Quality Control department of a branch warehouse but may be temporarily reassigned to work in any other warehouse department. These short reassignments are dictated by the flow of work and the demands of the business. Employees in this role will help out in all disciplines (audio, video, projection, etc.) of the QC department and must have a general proficiency with basic AV equipment and computers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and ensure the quality of a regional fleet of PC and Macintosh laptops, desktops, tablets, and all-in-one computers, as well as Laser Jet printers, SOHO networking equipment, remote presenters, and digital video playback software
- Diagnose, log, and repair damaged items
- Organize and store all tested equipment
- Ensure all equipment is presentable and in ideal working condition
- Be able to handle hard deadlines and plan workflow depending on client needs
- Occasionally serve as on-site customer support
- Assist other departments when necessary
- Follow direction of the department leader and managers
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment to ensure safety and compliance
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned
