Position Summary: As a Baker at 1228 Main, you will be responsible for producing a wide variety of breads and buns in large quantities for daily deliveries. We are looking for someone with general bakery experience and a solid understanding of the bread-making process—from mixing to shaping to baking.
This is a full-time, overnight role and requires availability from 9pm-5am.

• Produce and bake breads and buns according to standardized recipes and daily production needs
• Operate mixers, ovens, proofers, and other bakery equipment
• Shape and portion doughs with consistency and accuracy
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the production area
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards

Pay: $18 - $21 / hour

• General bakery experience required; basic knowledge of artisan bread mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking.
• Basic knowledge of shaping, proofing, and baking artisan breads (including baguettes and sourdough), with a strong understanding of levain and poolish starters required.
• Must be punctual, team-oriented, and bring a proactive, can-do attitude to a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Must be dependable, punctual, and a team player
• Must be able to work 9pm-5am approx 5 days a week
• Ability to follow production schedules and recipe specifications
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
