Quality Assurance Technician
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all products meet Bauderer Packaging's quality and food safety standards. This position performs routine inspections, verifies packaging compliance, conducts sanitation verification tests, and documents quality checks throughout the production process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Verify that all product date codes are accurate, legible, and compliant with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Perform hourly quality checks on packaging lines to ensure products meet company specifications.
- Conduct cleaning verification tests to confirm equipment and production areas have been properly cleaned and sanitized before production.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality assurance records.
- Identify quality concerns and immediately report non-conforming products or processes to supervisors.
- Work closely with production personnel to maintain product quality and food safety standards.
- Follow all company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and safety procedures.
- Assist with corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in quality assurance or a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow written procedures and accurately complete documentation.
- Basic computer and recordkeeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and frequent inspections throughout the shift.
Work Environment
This position works in a manufacturing and packaging facility where adherence to food safety, sanitation, and quality standards is essential. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
