RoleSummary
This position plays a critical role in protecting the brand, the customer experience, and the safety of the workforce. In a luxury camper van business, quality failures are highly visible and safety risks are unacceptable—this role ensures both are controlled, measured, and continuously improved.
Key Responsibilities Quality Management- Develop, implement, and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) appropriate for low-volume, high-complexity vehicle manufacturing
- Define and enforce quality standards for:
- Vehicle build workmanship
- Electrical systems (12V/110V, inverters, batteries)
- Plumbing, HVAC, cabinetry, structural, and finish components
- Establish incoming, in-process, and final inspection criteria and documentation
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for defects, rework, and field issues
- Manage nonconforming material and disposition (rework, scrap, concession)
- Partner with Engineering on:
- Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
- Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
Validation of new designs, materials, and suppliers - Track and report quality KPIs (FPY, defect rates, rework hours, warranty trends)
- Define supplier quality requirements and inspection plans
- Perform supplier audits and support supplier corrective actions as needed
- Approve first-article inspections and production readiness for new vendors
- Coordinate quality expectations with purchasing and supply chain teams
- Own and administer the facility safety program in compliance with Nevada OSHA and Federal OSHA regulations
- Applicable electrical, fire, and workplace safety standards
- Conduct regular safety audits, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and risk assessments
- Maintain safety documentation including:
Training records, Incident reports and OSHA logs (300/301) - Lead incident investigations and corrective actions
- Ensure proper use and compliance of: PPE, Lockout/Tagout, Chemical handling (SDS) and Electrical and tool safety
- Develop and deliver quality and safety training for production and support teams
- Promote a culture of “build it right the first time” and safety ownership at every level
- Coach supervisors and team leads on quality expectations and safe work practices
- Support onboarding and certification of new employees
- Create and maintain the following: SOPs and work instructions, Inspection checklists
- Audit reports and corrective action logs
- Provide regular reporting to leadership on:
Quality performance, Safety metrics and Risk areas and improvement plans.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, safety, or compliance roles
- Experience in assembly manufacturing (electromechanical, consumer product)
- Strong working knowledge of: OSHA safety standards, Quality systems (ISO 9001) and inspection methodologies
- Root cause analysis tools (5-Why, Fishbone, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret:, Engineering drawings, Electrical schematics and Assembly instructions
- Strong documentation, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills
- Regular presence on the manufacturing floor
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally
- Exposure to typical manufacturing environments (tools, electrical systems, vehicles)

- Salary Range: $83,000- $93,000 per year + bonus
