ROLE of the POSITIONThe Postdoctoral Scholar in Neuroimaging will report to Ayan Sengupta, Assistant Professor, Department of Health Physics and Diagnostic Sciences within the School of Integrated Health Sciences . Sengupta is the Associate Director of the UNLV MR Imaging Core (UMIC), the only public brain imaging research facility in Southern Nevada. This specialized imaging core significantly expands UNLV’s research capacity, enabling investigators to explore the complexities of the brain, translate scientific discoveries into real-world applications, and pursue solutions that enhance brain health and quality of life.
The newly established UMIC facility further exemplifies UNLV’s mission as a Carnegie R1 institution, supporting high-impact, interdisciplinary research and creative activity. The responsibilities of this position will include, but will not be limited to, the following:
Conducting scientific research and development work in MRI projects. The candidate will be performing research in line with the PI’s research program. The scholar will also be encouraged to propose research that is interesting to them
