Position: RUNNER/STOCKER - VIA VIA FOOD HALL

Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Runner/Stocker - Food Hall is to create an extraordinary experience by supporting fellow Team Members and ensuring all outlets have all necessary materials and providing guests with prompt service and a clean dining area.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor, providing prompt and memorable service.
  • Safely and efficiently lift, carry, and push carts to transport and stock products between multiple restaurant venues.
  • Stock and organize product in guest facing and back-of-house areas and dispose of debris.
  • Continuous cleaning, organizing, and sanitizing of guest dining areas, including tables, chairs, countertops, and communal areas.
  • Assists with continuous removal of used trays, china, glass, silverware, and trash from venues and communal areas.
  • Maintain proper levels of cutlery, napkins, and condiments that are stocked at all stations in Food Hall.
  • Retrieve all related products from support areas, including warehouse and all prep kitchens.
  • Break down pallet deliveries and continue organization and delivery of all product.
  • Create and follow preparation lists to ensure accurate amounts of product are delivered or transferred.
  • Answer questions and give recommendations while ensuring all guest needs are met.
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  • Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or special events to keep restaurants operating to standard and setting a positive example for all Team Members.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensure all areas are kept clean and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Safely remove and decontaminate hazardous materials like blood, bodily fluids, and other biohazards from contaminated sites.
  • Comply with policies and procedures of the department and of The Venetian Resort.
  • Proper performance requires physical and mental dexterity to accomplish tasks associated with the completion of the service.
  • Completion of a task or assignment requires use of equipment, tools, or systems related to the proper performance of the service. Provide a service for others and provide expertise based on information keyed, gathered, studied, processed, or reviewed.
  • Acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture and values of The Venetian and all Partner restaurants.
  • Assists with new Team Member’s training by demonstrating all values and policies & procedures required by The Venetian and all Partner Restaurants.
  • Follows all policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all Team Members during each shift.
  • Safety is an essential function of this job.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Company Standards of Conduct

All The Venetian Resort Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements, and rules of conduct.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Alcohol Awareness Card, Health Card, or any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
  • Must possess a positive, warm, and welcoming demeanor.
  • Minimum of 6 months recent food and beverage experience in a luxury environment or similar setting.
  • Excellent guest service skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift, push, and carry 50 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability to walk, stand, push, stretch, bend, reach, and kneel for prolonged periods.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
