Responsibilities
Prepare bakery and deli items per customer requests using proper equipment.Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.Provide customers with fresh products in correct portion sizes to prevent shrinkage.Recommend deli or bakery items to ensure customer satisfaction.Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients using kitchen utensils and equipment.Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.Check product quality for freshness and review "sell by" dates.Properly use kitchen equipment including stoves, scales, fryers, steamers, etc.Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.Understand store layout to locate products for customers.Stay current with ads and promotions.Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer questions and suggestions.Monitor inventory and stocking conditions, noting discrepancies.Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers and maintain logs.Create a welcoming environment for customers and promote trust among staff.Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.Report customer or employee accidents.Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment and manage conflicts professionally.Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.Qualifications

- Ability to obtain a food handlers permit upon employment
