Product Demonstrator Part Time

Overview

The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations. They acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented, prepare, serve and break down product, equipment, and supplies, intercept consumers and demonstrate products professionally, and maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.

• Possess aptitude to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
• Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
• Effectively communicate features and benefits of the product.
• Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
• Set up and prepare the event table for execution.
• Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
• Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
• Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
• Complete expense reports per Company Policy.
• Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
• Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook and view assigned documents including Microsoft Word & Adobe PDF forms.

Education/

Experience:

High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer

Skills:

Proficient in use and navigation of personal computer or mobile device using applications and internal systems.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local Food Handlers permit may be required.

Stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms (up to 65 inches), talk and hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step up ladder, balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart laden with appliances and supplies, prepare foods and beverages using required appliances, be in contact with cleaning supplies.

Retail store environment with limited travel.
