Position Summary
We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time retail sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.
This role involves working with a wide variety of merchandise, including tools, electronics, and in FFL locations firearms.
Pay: $12.00 to $15.00 per hour. Commission: up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.80 per hour on top of the hourly rate. Employees may earn unlimited commission above the hourly base rate.
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
- Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items following company policies.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes the assigned training.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
- May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
- Minimum age: 18 years old.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to serve customers and be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient basic math calculations.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Willing to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate a point‑of‑sale system and common office machines.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed information about the plan is provided during the interview process.
Other InformationPay rates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements. Employees must agree to a binding arbitration agreement for dispute resolution.
