Assistant Store Manager

Summary

The Assistant Store Manager will partner with the General Manager to support sales, operations, talent development, client cultivation, and merchandising at an MCM retail location. This role executes store strategies to drive top- and bottom-line results, ensures operational excellence, and fosters a positive customer and employee experience. Responsibilities include coaching staff, managing inventory and loss prevention, and performing store opening and closing procedures.

• Drive sales performance to achieve or exceed store targets and profitability goals
• Investigate and resolve customer issues; develop solutions and coach staff on prevention
• Train and coach sales associates on standard operating procedures and product knowledge
• Monitor inventory metrics (in-stocks, turnover, flow) and support merchandise fulfillment
• Maintain loss prevention procedures and oversee secure receiving processes
• Review store P&L and payroll to identify opportunities to improve performance
• Perform store opening and closing procedures and ensure timely team communication

• 1 to 3 years of store management experience, preferably with fashion or luxury brands
• BA or BS degree
• Experience with store operations including payroll, inventory management, and shrink control
• Proven leadership in recruiting, developing, and mentoring associates
• Strong retail math and analytical skills; ability to use KPIs to drive performance
• Excellent communication, negotiation, time management, and organizational skills
• Ability to work retail hours and stand for extended periods; advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills
