Position: Retail Sales Associate - 2022

Description

$12.00 to $15.00 per hour plus an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. A Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. You will greet, engage, and interact with customers in a professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions in a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations).

Responsibilities
  • Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Performs non‑management open and close procedures.
  • Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
  • Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with company policies.
  • Answers incoming calls per company standards.
  • Effectively communicates to customers the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions.
  • Communicates with coworkers and managers respectfully, using effective communication tools.
  • Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
  • Successfully completes the assigned training program.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willing and able to perform duties requiring standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting as required by federal, state, and local law.
  • Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
  • May be asked to assist a customer outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
  • Minimum age 18 years.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in basic math calculations.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
Commission Plan Information

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. More details will be provided during the interview process.

Additional Terms

All employees agree to a binding arbitration agreement to resolve disputes. Pay rates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements.
