- Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
- Write simple correspondence.
- Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small‑group settings to customers and employees.
- Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
- Basic PC/Outlook skills.
- Retail Management Certificate.
Under direct supervision of the Produce Manager, the Produce Clerk provides customer service, assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates perishable displays, and maintains accurate stock levels. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, stand, and stoop for prolonged periods.
The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, requiring physical tasks such as lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling, as well as visual and auditory abilities.
