Position: Sales Lead - Henderson (Las Vegas, NV ARC)

Job Overview

The Lead Sales position is a part‑time role at The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers (ARC) store, providing spiritual, social, and rehabilitation programs while offering excellent customer and donor service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take an active role and partner with the Store Manager in daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, point of sale operations, inventory management and rotation, ARC merchandising standards (CNO Standards), and donations.
  • Assume responsibility for all day‑to‑day store operations (including personnel and cash handling) in the absence of the Store and/or Assistant Manager, and discuss concerns with the District Sales Manager.
  • Assist the Store Manager to monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive store sales and increase profitability as projected by budget and goals set by Command Retail Directors and Command Administration.
  • In absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, schedule store employees to ensure appropriate coverage, coordinate daily morning and shift‑change team meetings, provide coaching, training and development, and process paperwork per Review Standards regarding time and attendance compliance.
  • Ensure high levels of customer and donor satisfaction through excellent service and maintain good community relations by developing strategies to improve the customer experience.
  • Support the Store Manager with Back Room Processing to ensure Back Room Processors/Warehouse Associates work effectively and efficiently to meet daily processing goals.
  • Supervise, support, and conduct reporting of program beneficiaries when Work Therapy Assignments are in place at the store.
  • Protect and secure store currency, inventory, and property, including daily logging of cash deposits, bank deposits, products for sale, store equipment, and building security.
  • Secure the building during non‑operating hours by arming the alarm system and following alert protocols.
  • Ensure safety measures are established and maintained in accordance with ARC policy and governmental regulations, and report safety issues and incidents immediately; assist with conducting and recording mandatory weekly store meetings.
  • May be transferred or relocated to other stores based on business needs.
  • Complete all tasks (written or verbal) assigned by the District Sales Manager, Command Retail Directors, and Command Administration.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year of previous retail experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must pass a background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
  • Effective communication skills with management, store employees, customers and donors.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull, and lift objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks.
