The Merchandiser/Stocker ensures safety, profitability, and excellent customer service while maintaining the company‑owned retail facility. This hourly, non‑exempt role reports to the Store Manager and requires a fast‑paced, team‑oriented work style.

• Perform cleaning duties to maintain site cleanliness inside and out, including basic upkeep of all equipment.
• Stock and rotate grocery deliveries.
• Maintain proper inventory levels and manage shift closeouts.
• Execute duties with minimal supervision; may be required to work irregular hours.
• Notify management of any observed dishonesty by customers, vendors, or employees; follow vendor check‑in procedures and company policy for confronting shoplifters.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and relevant governmental regulations.
• Complete and attend all required employee orientations, trainings, certifications, and meetings.

• Stand and/or walk for an entire shift.
• Lift and/ or carry up to 60 lbs. from ground to waist level as needed.
• Lift and/ or carry up to 30 lbs. from ground to overhead for up to 30 minutes.
• Push and pull with arms up to a force of 20 lbs.
• Bend at waist with some twisting for up to 1 hour.
• Grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands; hand‑eye coordination required, including ladder work for up to 4 hours.

• Approximately 95% of duties performed indoors.
• Exposure to intermittent indoor cold temperature extremes when working in walk‑in cooler or freezer.
• Work in small spaces at times; work independently.
• Work with minimal direction and periodic supervision.

• Manual equipment: cleaning supplies (rubber gloves, mop, broom, degreaser/defoamer, etc.), flat cart, hand truck, grocery basket.
• Handling liquids, cloth, plastic, glass, paper, rubber, and cleaning solvents.

• High School diploma or GED (preferred).
• Experience in retail sales and customer service (preferred).
• Reliably work as scheduled and arrive on time.
• Communicate orally and in writing in English.
• Perform basic arithmetic operations.
• Work independently and as part of a team as necessary.
