Ivar’s Restaurants is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Southwest Regional Account Executive to grow sales of our frozen soups (manufactured by the Ivar's Soup Company) across the California, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah markets. This role is centered on building strong partnerships with Southwest broadline distributors while expanding street business and increasing operator penetration through targeted sales efforts and strategic support.

We are looking for someone local to the Southwest market (in any of the states listed), and the yearly salary for this full-time position will be between $80,000 and $100,000 with a potential bonus based on performance. The work schedule will be approximately 90% remote and 10% onsite from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work when presenting at food shows.

This representative will be required to travel to the Ivar’s Soup Company office in Mukilteo, Washington, once every 6 weeks or as requested by senior management. No relocation package is being offered as we will not expect the candidate to move to the Northwest.

Key responsibilities for this position will include the following categories.

  • Work closely with broadline distributor teams across the Southwest states to support and grow Ivar’s presence and sales
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with distributor buyers, merchandisers, and sales teams
  • Support product cuttings, sales training, and business reviews
  • Ensure product catalogs, pricing, stocking status, and availability are accurate and current across all OPCOs

Sales growth and operator support:

  • Collaborate with distributor sales teams to promote Ivar’s soups and drive operator engagement
  • Prospect and close new street business opportunities
  • Participate in ride-along, sales blitzes, menu ideation, and culinary presentations
  • Target high-opportunity accounts such as regional chains, military, colleges, healthcare, casinos, and hotels
  • Secure new item placements and increase the velocity of ISC stocked SKUs

Territory management and administration:

  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and report on promotional efforts.
  • Work closely with ISC sales team and broker partners to align strategies and maximize territory performance.
  • Maintain detailed records of account activity and follow-up opportunities

Candidates for the position must have the following qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of food service sales experience, preferably with a manufacturer or distributor
  • Strong knowledge of broadline distributor networks and operator sales
  • Experience selling refrigerated or frozen products (soup experience a plus)
  • Proven track record of success in account management, distributor sales support, and operator development
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Software and CRM tools
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to pass a company background check after an initial screening of qualifications

Preferred qualifications will also include a culinary background or strong food knowledge and experience working with broker networks.
