Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated, relationship-driven
Outside Sales Representative
to join our team. This individual will manage and grow an established territory by building strong relationships with electrical distributors, contractors, and OEMs. The ideal candidate has a blend of technical aptitude, sales experience, and a passion for helping customers find the right solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with electrical distributors, contractors, and key decision-makers.
- Promote and sell Apex Electrical Sales represented product lines to new and existing customers.
- Conduct regular sales calls, site visits, product presentations, and training sessions.
- Identify opportunities, generate quotes, and follow through to close sales.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to support customer needs and project requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends, competitive products, and market conditions.
- Attend trade shows, manufacturer trainings, and industry events as needed.
- Meet or exceed territory sales goals and performance metrics.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of outside sales experience (electrical industry experience strongly preferred).
- Knowledge of electrical distribution, electrical components, or related products.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a territory.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned region.
- Travelto Arizona (15% of the time), plus occasional factory training trips.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital sales tools.
