Position SummaryThe Sales Representative will be responsible for driving business development, expanding market presence, managing customer relationships, and supporting technical sales activities within assigned territories.
The ideal candidate is results-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative sales team.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales Growth
- Identify and prospect new customers within assigned territories across the United States and Canada
- Develop business opportunities within:
- Quarries
- Food processing facilities
- OEM manufacturing plants
- Distribution channels
- Execute territory sales strategies alongside the Territory Sales Manager
- Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales goals
- Maintain and manage an active sales pipeline using CRM software and internal tools
- Generate new OEM and distribution opportunities through cold calling, supplied leads, networking, and market research
- Travel overnight as needed for trade shows, customer visits, and territory development
- Conduct customer site visits to assess operational needs and challenges
- Deliver product demonstrations, technical proposals, and application training
- Troubleshoot customer concerns and recommend appropriate solutions
- Coordinate with customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment Account Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts
- Participate in stock management and annual budget review activities
- Support customer retention and account growth initiatives
Experience- Proven experience in Outside B2B Sales with a strong focus on new business development
- Early- to mid-career sales experience preferred
- Experience in industrial processing, bulk material handling, manufacturing, or related industries strongly preferred
- Experience selling to OEMs and distribution channels highly desired
- Prior experience selling electric motors, power transmission components, or industrial equipment is a plus
- Mechanical or electrical background preferred but not required
- Ongoing technical and product training will be provided
- Strong sales mentality with a results-driven approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and stay self-motivated
- Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to customer needs
- Comfortable with overnight travel by car and air as needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Familiarity with CRM systems preferred
