Job Summary

The role of the District Manager, Sales is to drive sales through the Sales Pro team to grow commercial sales and enhance NAPA's Commercial Value Proposition. The leader is responsible for ensuring the Sales Pro team understands and sells NAPA programs to all assigned customers. They communicate monthly wholesale strategies and tactics, set goals, and hold the team accountable. This role involves building high-performing teams and ensuring NAPA’s vision, values, and culture exceed expectations for employees, customers, and key stakeholders to drive profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate the Sales Pro team to achieve and exceed sales quotas by leveraging promotions, programs, and initiatives with purchases of NAPA Auto Parts and services.
  • Ensure the execution of HQ-directed sales programs to drive growth and profitability.
  • Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for margin expansion and pricing strategies.
  • Track sales metrics, prepare reports, and communicate progress to senior management.
  • Manage prospecting of new accounts and foster growth of underperformers.
  • Build relationships with store teams, customers, and leadership to achieve success.
  • Evaluate sales results and collaborate on sales projections.
  • Recruit, select, and support sales team members, including succession planning.
  • Motivate teams through coaching, feedback, and development; conduct regular sales meetings.
  • Partner with store leadership to improve efficiency and service levels.
  • Oversee debt collections and manage expenses within budgets.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Utilize CRM tools for managing leads and customer interactions.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma and 2+ years of sales team leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of selling skills and NAPA operations.
  • Excellent management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical, adaptable, and results-oriented.
  • Ability to work business hours within the territory and travel as needed.
Physical Demands / Working Environment
  • Work in office, retail, and customer environments.
  • Stand/walk frequently; lift up to 25 pounds; travel up to 75%.
