Client Relationship Manager, Account Manager
Overview
The Carelon Account Executive III will serve as the primary client lead supporting Nevada’s 988 Crisis Call Response system, overseeing a complex, statewide behavioral health program that operates 24/7/365. This role partners closely with the state and community stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of critical crisis services, including crisis call centers, mobile crisis dispatch, stabilization resources, and follow‑up care.
LocationHybrid: 3 days in office per week with remote flexibility. Candidates must reside in Nevada.
Responsibilities- Achieve client retention by developing deep familiarity with all aspects of client contracts, KPIs, and service levels.
- Lead account planning and execution with key stakeholders to meet shared goals.
- Identify and execute cross‑sell / upsell opportunities to achieve gross margin, P&L, and EBITDA targets.
- Leverage data on account performance to inform regional growth strategy.
- Take a lead role in client meetings, upsells, RFPs and rebids.
- Serve as key client contact for independent resolution and innovation for client executive teams.
- Co‑coach Account Managers and influence communications with C‑suite leadership on company value proposition.
- Negotiate contract terms and deliverables and manage client expectations.
- Champion change initiatives and tailor communication style to client needs.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) and at least 8 years of experience in sales, account management, strategy, or sales support operations.
- Proven experience overseeing and navigating complex, multi‑faced programs.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and performance monitoring.
- Ability to manage and coordinate across multiple entities, including call centers and external partners.
- Experience leading or supporting end‑to‑end RFP processes and rebids.
- Travel up to 20% of the time.
- MBA or related master’s degree.
- Strong understanding of Nevada’s crisis system and state‑level operations.
- Behavioral health (BH) experience strongly preferred.
- Experience managing high‑volume, fast‑paced, complex environments.
- Demonstrated success in navigating cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
- National residency in Nevada required (state contract obligation).
Salary range: $135,240 to $202,860 (based on location, experience, education and skill level). Comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase plan, 401(k) contribution, and other benefits subject to eligibility.
