Retail Sales Associate

$12.00 to $15.00 per hour

• Vacation:
  Employees are granted one week of paid vacation after completing six months of active, full‑time service. Eligible employees are provided an additional week (40 hours) after one year and two weeks (80 hours) on each anniversary thereafter (state/local adjustments). A total of 120 hours after five years.
• Sick/Personal:
  Eligible employees are granted 8 hours after 6 months of employment, then 16 hours each anniversary thereafter (years 2‑5), and 24 hours after five years (state/local adjustments).

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawn Broker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The associate thrives on engaging with customers and assists with inquiries and problem resolution.

The associate works with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The Full‑Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage, plus employees earn commission based on productivity. The actual pay is based on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains clean stock and displays on the sales floor.
• Processes sales and loan transactions per policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Collaborates with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and effective communication skills.
• Partners with employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training successfully.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Capable of performing duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
• May assist a customer outside the building or retrieve products from external storage.
• Minimum age 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Willingness to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and office machines.
