Hello! Destination Management is seeking a Destination Management professional to join our Sales & Business Development team within the Hospitality & Travel industry. In this role, you will cultivate client relationships, design customized group programs, and sell innovative event and destination solutions. Responsibilities include prospecting, preparing proposals and presentations, negotiating contracts, and partnering with operations to ensure flawless program delivery. Ideal candidates are client-focused, creative, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment with opportunities for growth in meetings and events.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, and develop new and existing corporate and group accounts to generate destination management sales.
  • Respond to RFPs by creating customized proposals for meetings, incentives, events, and group programs that align with client goals and budgets.
  • Design event programs including venues, transportation, activities, entertainment, décor, and staffing, leveraging in-depth knowledge of the local destination.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with hotels, venues, and local suppliers to secure favorable terms while protecting margins.
  • Prepare and manage detailed program budgets, ensuring accuracy, profitability, and adherence to client expectations.
  • Coordinate with internal operations, creative, and accounting teams to translate sold programs into comprehensive event plans and timelines.
  • Oversee on-site execution of events and programs, serving as the primary client contact to ensure quality, safety, and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipelines, and forecasts within a CRM or sales tracking system.
  • Build and nurture relationships with hotel partners, convention bureaus, and industry organizations to enhance referral and partnership opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive offerings, and destination developments to continuously improve program design and client presentations.
