Job Summary: The Outside Product Sales Representative plays a vital role in driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction by promoting RAM’s products and services. This position is designed to enhance the effectiveness of the Outside Product Sales role and support the development of long-term customer relationships. The representative will ensure compliance with all RAM policies and procedures as outlined in the team handbook.
This is a salary, exempt position in Las Vegas, NV reporting directly to the Business Development Director.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Have an understanding and working knowledge of all product lines and services offered to act as a key resource in resolving customer issues.
- The ability to highlight the benefits of our products and services to customers to ensure correct product selection and to help troubleshooting.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers to foster RAM’s, Once a Customer, Always a Happy Customer value.
- Prospecting and Lead generation through various methods including, but not limited to, weekly site visits, referrals, cold calling, networking, etc.
- Input and maintain customer interactions, market research and competition activities in the companies CRM along with keeping all documents and forms organized.
- Deliver persuasive presentations and product demonstrations to existing and potential customers.
- Continually do market research to understand our competitor’s activities, market trends, and customers’ needs to allow for adapting sales approach and pricing with services and products.
- Obtaining quotes to help negotiate deals with customers that are within RAM’s guidelines to secure sales to meet or exceed goals.
- Represent RAM’s values and non-negotiables in all areas of your job and customer interactions.
- Be an active attentive listener to allow for communication between customers and team members.
- Be available when in the office and in the field and available to take calls after hours and on weekends when needed.
- Understanding sales metrics, profit margins, and KPIs
- Must be able and willing to take accountability for actions.
- Available and willing to travel up to 80% of your time to customer locations, trade shows, and other events to meet with customers and travel to other RAM locations. 20% in office.
- Respond to inquiries in a professional, effective, and timely manner.
- Prepare and submit accurate weekly reports to the Regional Director
- Actively participate in Kick-off meetings.
- Ensure a 90% or higher accuracy rate for orders and releases entered in the system.
- Process customer requests from the shared inbox in order of receipt, excluding items that require management involvement.
- Maintain a 4-hour response time for order and release processing.
- Conduct thorough research on past orders to ensure consistency with new inquiries.
- Work directly with the Order Processing/Logistics team to ensure timely invoicing of products.
- Crosstrain across departments to provide additional sales support.
- Provide accurate and timely information regarding purchase orders and specifications.
- Submit all credit card charges via Concur.
Required Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for building long-term partnerships with customers and the ability to deliver compelling presentations on time.
- Proven ability to prospect, qualify leads, help negotiate deals and close sales.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, overcome objections, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Familiarity with CRM systems.
- Ability to build strong relationships, understanding clients’ needs, and adapting to personality differences among team members and customers.
- Ability to manage sales territory, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM platforms.
