Job DescriptionThe Security Officer II provides security and protection for guests, employees, and the property. Maintains crowd control, prevents theft, and discourages altercations in a high-volume atmosphere. The Security Officer works in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and always delivering superior guest service. The role sets the standard for venue Security through on-the-job interaction and demonstration. This is not an all-encompassing job description.
It is dependent on the venue of hire and offered position which will be presented for review and acknowledgment upon hire
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONSOFTHE POSITION INCLUDE,BUTARE NOTLIMITEDTO:
- Maintain up-to-dateknowledgeof“personsofinterest”whomaybedeniedentranceintoourvenueorpast employees who have been 86’ed from the venue
- Appearinthedress codeforallshifts atyourscheduledtime
- Alertandgetapprovalforallbreaks,leaveofrotation, ordutieswhichyoucannotperformatthetimethey were assigned to you
- Beattentivetoallcompany-related events andupcomingvenuesand changes
- Keepaproperandprofessionalappearanceand attitude
- Maintainandpromoteafriendlyatmosphereforcustomersandstaff
- Complywithaddedhoursortimeframeafterascheduledshift as needed
- Administerfirstaidandassistinjuredguestsor employees
- Ensurethatproperauthoritiesare contacted
- Upholdslawandorderinthehotelinconjunctionwithlocallaw enforcement
- Reportsanysafetyhazardsimmediately to Maintenance and/or Management
- Answersallguestquestionsandfurnishesdetailedinformation oncasinofacilities,attractions,retail shops,andfood and beverage locations
- Reactprofessionallyandrationallyinemergencyandpressure situations
- Restrains intoxicated,disorderly,orinsubordinateguestsandalertsmanagementimmediately
- Communicateprofessionallywithallmanagement
- Directsemergencyvehicleswhencalledupon
EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE:
