Job Summary
The Security Officer’s Dispatch main function is to provide a friendly and safe environment for guests, team members, and company assets. Officers will perform duties in accordance with Caesars Entertainment policies and the mission statement, and will primarily interact with guests via telephone. Officers must know the property’s floor plan and operating times of facilities to give directions and accurate information.
EssentialJob Functions
- Greet guests and team members with a friendly and sincere welcome.
- Communicate with patrons over the telephone, presenting a pleasant and courteous personality.
- Verify that all required equipment is on hand and functioning.
- Perform data entry for applications, maintain composure during stressful situations, and multitask with phones, radios, monitors, camera locations, and operations.
- Review accessible video cameras and report malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain knowledge of camera coverage and sequencing for incident reviews.
- Monitor alarm systems and notify emergency personnel upon activation.
- Continuously patrol the property to ensure safety and uphold laws, policies, and procedures.
- Exercise good judgment, solve problems, and facilitate resolution of customer complaints through personal action and coordination with other departments.
- Act as an ambassador for Caesars Entertainment, providing accurate directions to property attractions and amenities.
- Maintain a groomed appearance that reflects the professional demeanor of the Security Department.
- Assist civil and law enforcement authorities, including providing testimony in court.
- Provide medical assistance as a First Responder, First Aid and CPR practitioner when necessary.
- Interview, investigate, and document incidents requiring security intervention in accordance with company policy.
- Enforce all company policies and procedures.
- Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to all company and department policies.
- Respond promptly to dispatched areas of need.
- Conduct slot, pit poker, and other drops in compliance with Nevada Gaming law and departmental procedures.
- Comply with departmental policy regarding the Use of Force, including arrest and detention of individuals violating laws or company policy.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 1 to 2 years of prior security experience preferred.
- Experience in a position with direct guest contact preferred.
- Ability to manage several tasks at once.
- Good oral and written communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
- Must possess a Nevada Gaming Card, an Alcohol Awareness Card (AES), and a valid Nevada Driver’s License.
- Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.
- Ability to work 12‑hour shifts.
- Work inside and outside in temperatures ranging from 10 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Ability to physically restrain individuals when an arrest condition exists.
- Remain calm and make rational decisions in crisis and stressful situations.
- Work independently.
- Perform stooping, bending, jumping, twisting, crouching, gripping, carrying heavy loads, and maneuvering on level surfaces, up and down stairs.
- Lift and carry up to 60 pounds; push or pull up to 150 pounds.
- Recognize and remember specific details of incidents and persons; provide court testimony and write detailed reports in English.
- Tolerate environments with second‑hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
- Pass the Western Division Security Academy’s physical and written testing within the first 90 days.
- Re‑certify with the Western Division Security Academy between years 2 and 3.
